All six lists are worked out again for the period you pick. Daily sales are kept for 90 days — the forecast never needs more; weekly totals are kept for good, so half-year and yearly periods open up as your own history grows. Click a column to sort by it. Next to a product you see its marks from the other lists — ▲ Top N best seller, ★ Top margin N, ▼ Low margin, ▼ Overstock — so a best seller that earns almost nothing, or a high margin that does not sell, stands out.
Profit here is what is left after the cost of the goods: (price of a unit − its cost) × units sold. Revenue is not profit, and a high margin on three sales or a thin margin on a thousand both lose to this list. These are the products an empty shelf hurts the most — worth pinning.
By units sold. No cost per item needed.
Among products with at least three sales — fewer say nothing about a margin.
Products whose stock would last more than half a year at the pace of the chosen period, or that sold nothing in it. The value is what those units cost you (cost per item; the price tag where no cost is filled in) — money that is on the shelf instead of working. Candidates for a sale, a bundle, or for leaving the range: fewer SKUs that sell are easier to keep in stock than many that do not.
Under 20%, the worst first; some sell below cost. The reorder list will keep asking you to buy more of them.
Returned in one sale out of ten or more. At that rate it is a pattern, not bad luck: sizing, photos, quality or the description. Cancellations before shipping are not counted.
/invite @njX Stock Alerts in that channel, then Refresh list.Press Why? on the row: it shows the pace (units a day), how many days the stock lasts, the line it is judged against and how the order quantity adds up. If a step disagrees with what you know, write to support with the product name and what you expected — that is the most useful message you can send.
On Free the forecast covers the 50 best sellers plus everything you pin; Starter covers 500 products, Pro every product. Pin a product from the row menu to add it. A product with too few sales in the window sits in Too few sales; a product you muted or stopped watching is under 💤 Muted & off, where Pin brings it back.
An order brings the stock up to the critical line plus the days you buy for: Order enough for N days in the table header. Change N and the quantities are worked out again. Products already on the way count as stock if Shopify knows about them (incoming inventory).
Nothing is broken. The forecast needs at least 3 sales of a product in the last 60 days; a store that is a week or two old simply has not sold enough yet. Stock by location, out-of-stock findings, pinned products and the data-quality check work from day one; days left and order quantities appear product by product as sales come in, the best & worst lists after about a month. There is nothing to configure — the app watches the orders as they happen.
Shopify gives an app the last 60 days of orders at install; everything older is not available to us. From the day of install, sales are kept as they happen: daily figures for 90 days, weekly totals for as long as the app is installed — the 6-month and yearly views open up as history accumulates.
Three things must be true: the recipient is confirmed (an e-mail address gets nothing until its owner clicks the confirmation link), the weekly day and hour in
The daily digest comes only on days when something runs out within a week; the digest and instant alerts are on Starter and Pro (Slack and Discord channels on Pro). Both have a switch in
It happens to the first message from a new sender. Drag it to Primary once and the next lists arrive there. Adding the sender to your contacts helps too.
From the Cost per item field of the variant in Shopify. Products without a cost get no margin figures and no low-margin mark; fill the cost in Shopify and the next refresh picks it up. Margin is (price − cost) ÷ price; below 20% a product is marked as low margin.
Row menu → Mute: the row stays in the table with its numbers, but the product is not suggested, not counted in the zones and not sent. Stop watching removes it from every list. Both are undone with Pin. Nothing changes in Shopify.
The formula needs your personal feed link, and it works only on Pro. Press Copy formula in What to reorder and paste it into cell A1 of an empty sheet. If you ever pasted the link somewhere public, press Make a new link — the old one stops working at once.
Nothing is changed in Shopify: the app only reads products, inventory, locations and orders, and it stores no customer data. Uninstalling deletes everything about your store within 48 hours. The full list is in
